lavender + lilac

All you need for the perfect spring wedding is lavender and lilac hues and love in the air! Lilac is soft, romantic, and girly (without being pink!).

Lavender and ivory cardstock were printed with “Bride” and “Groom,” along with the vineyard motif and strung to the back of the couple’s chairs with lavender ribbon.

A bridesmaid designed the program‘s logo, which featured a quote from Pride & Prejudice: “You have bewitched me body and soul and I love, I love, I love you...”

Guests’ names were printed on ivory and lavender cards and held in place with Veritas Vineyard wine corks.

Floating votives accented arrangements of purple Mokara orchids, which also floated in glass cylinders. The blooms matched Arlene’s bouquet and the ceremony décor.

2012 dress trends

From BRIDES.com, all of the upcoming gorgeous gown trends to consider while shopping for the perfect one:

Illusion Necklines:
For the bride that wants strapless with more coverage.

Gown 1: Carolina Herrera
Gown 2: Monique Lhuillier

Two-Tiered Skirts:
For the bride that wants a flattering fit - the top tier helps to hide wider hips.

Gown 1: Christos
Gown 2: Anna Maier/Ulla-Maija Couture
Gown 3: Junko Yoshioka

Horsehair Trim:
Exposing the underlay of the gown creates voluptuous volume and dimension.

Gown 1: Vera Wang
Gown 2: Rivini

Blush:
My favorite new trend! The subtle hint of pink provides romantic flair for a bride looking to stray from plain white. As the beautiful Reese Witherspoon proved with her wedding gown earlier this year, blush gowns are classy with a twist.
*Also a great choice for the second-time bride.

Gown 1: Wtoo Brides
Gown 2: Monique Lhuillier
Gown 3: Rivini

Lace Sleeves:
Inspired by Kate Middleton, lace sleeves are a great option for the bride looking to exude the look of royalty on her big day.

Gown 1: Wtoo Brides
Gown 2: Monique Lhuillier
